Ourly

Privacy Policy

Last updated 8 September 2026

Ourly is made by Worthly HQ Inc., a company incorporated in Canada. This policy explains what Ourly collects, why, and what control you have over it. If anything here is unclear, email us at hello@worthlyhq.com.

The short version. Ourly does not connect to your bank. Every figure in the app is one you typed in yourself. We don't sell your data, we don't show ads, and we don't run analytics or tracking software. The one thing to understand before you start is that Ourly is built for two people to share, so anything you add is visible to the partner you pair with.

1. What we collect

Information you give us when you sign in

Ourly uses Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google. We never see or store your password. From your chosen provider we receive your email address and, on your first sign-in with Apple, your name.

If you use Apple's Hide My Email option, we receive a relay address rather than your real one, and that is all we ever store. Apple's own name-sharing screen lets you edit or withhold your name before it reaches us.

Information you enter into the app

Everything Ourly holds about your life together is something you typed in. That includes:

Ourly has no connection to any bank or financial institution. We do not use Plaid or any similar service, we cannot see your real accounts, and we never ask for banking credentials.

Information we do not collect

Ourly contains no analytics SDK, no advertising SDK, no crash reporting service and no third-party tracking of any kind. We do not build advertising profiles, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.

2. Shared data, and what your partner can see

This is the most important thing to understand about Ourly, so we would rather over-explain it.

Ourly works by putting two people into a shared space. Once you and your partner are paired, everything either of you adds to that space is visible to the other — every transaction, balance, list item, goal, date plan and note, along with who added it and when. There is no private area within a shared space.

Pairing only happens when one person deliberately shares a join code and the other enters it. Nobody can join your space without that code.

If you would rather not share something, do not enter it into Ourly.

3. Why we hold it

We process your information to run the service you asked for: to sign you in, to keep your shared space in sync between two devices in real time, to display your own data back to you, and to manage your subscription. We also use your email address to reply if you contact us for support.

Our legal basis, where the UK or EU GDPR applies, is performance of the contract between us. Where a different basis applies, such as responding to a support request you initiated, we rely on our legitimate interest in helping you.

4. Where it lives

Ourly's data is stored with Supabase, which provides our hosted Postgres database and authentication. Data is encrypted in transit. Access is restricted at the database level so that a signed-in account can only read rows belonging to its own household.

Supabase may store and process data on servers outside your country, including in the United States. Where personal data is transferred out of the UK or EEA, that transfer is covered by the standard contractual clauses in Supabase's terms.

5. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information, and we never have. We share it only with the service providers needed to make the app work:

We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or where it is necessary to protect the rights or safety of a person.

Apple handles all payments. We never see your card number or billing details — we receive only a confirmation from Apple that a subscription is active and when it expires.

6. Keeping and deleting your data

We keep your information for as long as your account exists.

You can delete your account at any time from the Account screen in the app. When you do:

Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone. Backups are overwritten on a rolling basis and are not retained indefinitely.

Deleting your account does not cancel an active subscription. Subscriptions are managed by Apple and must be cancelled in your device's Settings.

7. Your rights

You can access and correct most of your information directly in the app, and delete all of it from the Account screen. You may also ask us to provide a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, or restrict how we use it, by emailing hello@worthlyhq.com. We will respond within 30 days.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you have the right to complain to your local data protection or privacy authority.

8. Children

Ourly is not intended for anyone under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has given us their information, email us and we will delete it promptly.

9. Security

We use encryption in transit, database-level access rules, and sign-in through Apple and Google so that we never handle passwords. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we will notify affected users and the relevant regulator without undue delay if a breach affecting personal data occurs.

10. Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. If a change materially affects how we use your information, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect.
